Visualize:Vascular requires that images are acquired like slices through the vessel of interest. Images are acquired in a transverse B-mode cine clip by dragging the probe along the vessel 90 degrees to the vessel.
Salient’s patented algorithm post processes the image clip finding the boundary between the active luminal pathway and plaque, inner vessel walls or any matter adhered to the side of the vessel. The results are shown in green in the image. The algorithm continues to identify the boundary on every frame in the cine clip.
The algorithm results from each frame are then assembled to generate a 3D object of the active lumen.
3D rendering of the restricted area
The diameters are automatically measured on each slice through the 3D object. The max and min are used to automatically calculate luminal reduction.
